What Is an Air-cooled Linear Vibrating Screen?
The air-cooled linear vibrating screen is a new type of screening equipment developed specifically for high-temperature materials. Based on the standard linear vibrating screen, it incorporates a centrifugal fan cooling system that lowers the temperature of the material prior to screening. This effectively reduces the challenges associated with screening high-temperature materials, significantly boosts screening efficiency and throughput, and lowers production costs. Compared to traditional water-cooled models, the air-cooled linear vibrating screen is better suited for the screening and classification of materials that are sensitive to water or moisture.
Structure and Working Principle of the Air-Cooled Linear Vibrating Screen
The air-cooled linear vibrating screen primarily consists of a screen box, an exciter, vibration-damping devices, and a drive system. The screen box serves as the main body of the machine; constructed from materials such as steel plate and structural steel, it houses screen meshes of various specifications. The exciter acts as the vibration source; composed of components such as eccentric blocks, it is mounted on the screen box and supported by bearings. Vibration-damping devices, made of elastic materials like rubber, are installed between the screen box and the exciter to absorb vibration. The drive system comprises a motor, a speed reducer, and a coupling, serving to power the operation of the vibrating screen.
During operation, the motor drives the vibration exciter to rotate, generating centrifugal force that causes the screen box to vibrate. As the direction of vibration is perpendicular to the screen surface, the material is subjected to vibrational forces and moves downward along the screen, thereby achieving the screening process. Simultaneously, air-cooling technology dissipates the heat generated during the machine’s operation through airflow, ensuring its proper functioning.
