What Is a Multi-Deck Tumbler Screen?
The multi-deck tumbler screen is used for the separation and dust removal of powdered and granular products, and is particularly suitable for multi-layer separation of high-throughput, fine, lightweight, and difficult-to-screen products. It enables effective multi-stage screening and offers various modes, including dual-precision screening, double-capacity screening, dual-precision reverse screening, and standard screening combined with dual-precision screening. It is widely used in the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, high-performance materials (plastics), and mineral industries, and is suitable for feed rates ranging from 10 kg/h to 40 t/h.
How Does a Multi-Deck Tumbler Screen Work?
The multi-deck circular tumbler sieve uses a gentle three-dimensional tumbling motion and multiple screening layers to achieve accurate material separation. The material moves evenly across each screen deck, allowing different particle sizes to be separated in one process.
Three-Dimensional Tumbler Screening Motion
An adjustable eccentric exciter generates three-dimensional, non-linear motion that simulates manual screening by combining horizontal rotary action with an upward throwing motion. Material spreads evenly across the screen surface and moves outward in a spiral trajectory, ensuring efficient and precise classification. Both the eccentricity (25–40 mm) and rotational speed (120–360 rpm) are adjustable, allowing residence time to be tailored to specific materials and diverse screening requirements.
Multiple Deck Design for Precise Particle Classification
The multi-layer peneira vibratória oscilante design allows one machine to separate materials into different particle sizes at the same time. Compared with single-layer screening equipment, it saves installation space, improves screening efficiency and meets the needs of continuous production.

1. Screening down to 20 microns
Mimicking manual screening, the equipment utilizes a 3D elliptical motion to separate very fine particles from larger ones. With mesh sizes as fine as 20 microns, it is suitable for feed particle sizes ranging from 1 micron to 20 mm, achieving an efficiency of up to 99%.
2. Throughput 5–10 times that of standard vibrating screens
The equipment handles throughputs ranging from 10 kg/h to 50 t/h, depending on the product, mesh size, and feed rate; its output is 5–10 times higher than that of conventional vibrating screens.
3. Multi-layer classification
Available with 1 to 5 screening decks—each offering an effective screening area of 0.28 to 6.4 square meters—it enables the separation of products or materials into up to six distinct grades.
4. Resistant to screen blinding
Flexible use of various anti-blinding devices—such as bouncing balls, rotary brushes, or ultrasonic systems—prevents material clogging.
5. Noise level around 75 dB
Featuring an internal seal with airtightness up to 50 mPa and supported by rubber tension springs, the unit operates with noise levels as low as 75 dBa.
6. Low breakage rate
The absence of high-speed vibration ensures that fragile materials and agglomerates remain intact; the breakage rate for hard particles is ≤3%, preserving particle roundness and integrity while enhancing product quality.
