研磨材ふるい分け事例研究:60メッシュおよび80メッシュ用途向け20台の回転振動ふるい

Particle size consistency and impurity control are important in abrasive processing. In this project, the customer required a solution for abrasive screening at 60 and 80 mesh, with a focus on removing unwanted particles and improving product consistency.

We configured a 1000mm rotary vibrating screen with 316L stainless steel contact parts. The screening solution also included vibration amplitude and eccentric weight angle adjustments to suit the customer’s process requirements.

1. Project Overview

The customer processes abrasives through crushing, grinding, separation, and packaging. Their existing screening process struggled with inconsistent particle separation and unwanted particles in the finished material.

The project focused on impurity removal and 60- and 80-mesh screening. Alongside equipment size and material selection, we considered screen configuration, product collection, and discharge connections to integrate the machine into the existing production process.

2. Customer Requirements

The customer specified the following requirements:

  • Screening application: Abrasive impurity removal and screening at 60 and 80 mesh.
  • Machine size: 1000mm diameter to suit the available installation space.
  • Contact material: 316L stainless steel for material-contact parts.
  • Operating settings: A requested vibration amplitude of 4–6mm, with a 45° eccentric weight angle as the initial adjustment reference.

During discussions, we focused on two questions: Would the 60- and 80-mesh requirements be handled in separate batches or through continuous grading? What types and sizes of impurities needed to be removed?

The first question determined the number of screen decks and the outlet arrangement. The second helped establish whether size-based screening could achieve the required separation.

Clarifying the acceptable product range and rejected particle sizes provided a practical basis for equipment configuration.

3. The Screening Solution

Equipment Selection: A 1000mm Rotary Vibrating Screen

We selected a 回転振動スクリーン with a 1000mm diameter, suitable for fitting 60- and 80-mesh screens.

For separate production batches, the mesh can be changed to match the required screening specification. For continuous grading, a double-deck configuration with separate outlets can collect different particle size fractions.

Material Selection: 316L Stainless Steel Contact Parts

The solution specified 316L stainless steel for material-contact parts, with a clear distinction between contact and non-contact components.

Because abrasive materials can wear screen mesh and other contact surfaces, we also outlined routine inspection, mesh replacement, and maintenance requirements.

This approach to a カスタム回転振動スクリーン considers both the customer’s material requirements and ongoing maintenance needs.

Parameter Adjustment: Balancing Retention Time and Throughput

The proposed setup used a 45° eccentric weight angle as an initial reference. The requested 4–6mm amplitude was identified as a key item to verify against the measurement method and the selected machine’s operating limits.

Trial adjustments would focus on material distribution, movement across the screen, and discharge conditions. The aim was to coordinate retention time and feed rate with the required separation, while reducing material buildup and incomplete screening.

Production Line Integration

Depending on the process layout, the abrasive screening machine can be positioned after grinding or before packaging.

Matching the inlet, outlets, and installation height to the upstream feeder and downstream collection equipment helps reduce intermediate handling and supports smoother material flow.

5. Key Equipment Features

Three-dimensional vibration for grading and impurity removal
Compound motion across the screen supports particle classification and the removal of impurities that can be separated by size.

Flexible screen configurations
The machine can accommodate mesh changes for separate batches or multiple screen decks for continuous grading.

Enclosed design to reduce dust escape
Proper sealing and inlet/outlet connections help limit dust release and material loss during screening.

Adjustable operating settings
Vibration settings can be adjusted according to material behavior and feed rate to balance retention time and discharge speed.

Clear maintenance priorities
Routine checks focus on mesh tension, wear, and seal condition. Screen-cleaning devices can be selected if clogging occurs.

6. Project Follow-Up and Optimization

The follow-up plan focuses on three practical questions:

  • Do the 60- and 80-mesh screening results meet the customer’s requirements?
  • Does the machine operate consistently without material buildup, clogging, or abnormal noise?
  • Are mesh changes and routine maintenance convenient for the operators?

Actual throughput, impurity removal performance, and mesh service life will provide the basis for further adjustments and ongoing support.
