During the impurity removal stage for dried chilies, utilizing a single-layer rotary vibrating screen with a large mesh aperture (selected based on the length of the chilies) allows for the effortless removal of impurities—such as stones, stems, leaves, and sand—from the raw chili material, thereby safeguarding the quality of the subsequent grinding and screening processes.
Once the preliminary crushing of the chilies is complete, employing a single-layer rotary vibrating screen with a smaller mesh aperture (approximately 4 mm) facilitates the easy separation of chili skins from seeds, ensuring that the seed content in the skins remains below 4% and the skin content in the seeds remains below 4%.
Following the finer grinding of the chili skins, appropriate mesh sizes and screen layers can be selected—based on the actual grinding consistency or the required mesh specifications for the finished chili powder—to grade the final product batch. This process allows for the separation of fine chili powder from coarser chili flakes, or serves to intercept any chili skins that have not yet been sufficiently ground, routing them back for further processing.
