1000 kg/h Flour Screw Conveyor & Vibratory Sifter Integrated System
Project Overview
A flour processing company needed to upgrade its manual feeding process to improve production efficiency while maintaining strict hygiene standards. Their existing workflow relied on operators manually feeding flour into a vibrating screen, resulting in dust pollution, inconsistent feeding rates, and higher labor costs.
After several rounds of technical discussions, our engineering team designed a fully enclosed flour screw conveyor and vibratory sifter integrated system. The solution automatically transfers 60-mesh flour from the storage hopper to the circular vibrating screen for continuous screening, achieving a production capacity of 1,000 kg/h while maintaining a clean, dust-free production environment.
The entire system is manufactured from 304 stainless steel, equipped with explosion-proof motors, and designed as a compact conveying and screening production line suitable for food-grade applications.

Customer Requirements
During our initial communication, the customer shared several key concerns:
- The material is 60-mesh wheat flour, which flows easily but generates significant dust.
- Required conveying capacity: 1,000 kg/hour.
- The flour screw conveyor should feed directly into the vibrating screen without manual handling.
- All equipment must meet food industry hygiene requirements.
- The conveying process should be completely enclosed to prevent flour dust leakage.
- Since flour dust can be explosive, all motors must comply with explosion-proof requirements.
- The complete system should be compact, easy to clean, and simple to maintain.
The customer also emphasized that the screening process must remain stable with a continuous and uniform material supply to maximize screening efficiency.
Solution
Based on the client’s requirements, our engineers recommended integrating a flour screw conveyor with a circular vibrating screen to form a continuous production line.
1. Material Characteristics
We considered factors such as the flour’s mesh size (60 mesh), bulk density, moisture content, required conveying distance, and lifting height. Given the flour’s good flowability, we selected a screw conveyor as the most economical and reliable conveying method.
2. Feeding Stability
The client was concerned that uneven feeding might reduce screening efficiency. We optimized the screw pitch and rotation speed to ensure the conveyor feeds flour into the vibrating screen continuously and uniformly, thereby preventing sudden surges of material.
3. Dust Control
As flour dust can compromise workshop hygiene and operator safety, we recommended a fully enclosed conveying structure. All connection points between the screw conveyor and the vibrating screen were sealed to minimize dust leakage during production.
4. Explosion-Proof Requirements
Given the combustible nature of flour dust, the client required the inclusion of explosion-proof electrical components.
The final solution features explosion-proof motors for both the conveyor and the rotary vibrating screen, food-grade SS304 stainless steel construction, and a fully enclosed conveying system; the integrated conveying and screening design drawings, finalized by the technical team, received the client’s approval.

Screw Conveyor
The flour screw conveyor features a simple overall structure and excellent sealing performance; constructed entirely of stainless steel, it meets food-grade requirements.

Rotary Vibrating Screen
The flour rotary vibrating screen is constructed entirely of stainless steel and offers high efficiency; its fully enclosed design makes it particularly suitable for flour screening.
Equipment Features
