The stainless steel linear vibrating screen is a screening device that utilizes a vibrating motor as its power source to propel material upward while simultaneously moving it forward in a linear motion. It offers a screening fineness of up to 400 mesh and is available with 1 to 6 screen decks. Key features include low energy consumption, high throughput, simple structure, ease of maintenance, a fully enclosed design that prevents dust leakage, and automatic material discharge. These characteristics make it highly suitable for integration into production lines.

Working Principle

The working principle of the Stainless Steel Linear Vibrating Screen is based on the excitation force generated by the synchronous, counter-rotating vibration motors. This force cancels out in the direction parallel to the motor shaft and combines into a resultant force perpendicular to the motor shaft, causing the screen to move in a straight line. Under the combined action of the excitation force and the material’s own weight, the material is thrown upward on the screen surface and moves forward in a straight line in a bouncing motion, thereby achieving the objectives of removing impurities and classifying the material.

  1. Impurity removal—prevents clumps, oversized products, or large particles that could cause issues during downstream processing or quality control, while maintaining optimal feed rates for peak performance.
  2. Classification—separates coarse material from fines, segregates a single product into different particle sizes, and homogenizes granules; linear screen aperture sizes range from 3/8 inch (10 mm) to 400 mesh (38 microns).

Stainless Steel Linear Vibrating Screen Structure

The stainless steel linear vibrating screen primarily consists of a screen box, screen frame, screen mesh, vibrating motor, motor mount, vibration-damping springs, and a support structure. Details of each component are as follows:

Screen Box:Fabricated from welded steel plates of varying thicknesses, this component offers the necessary strength and rigidity and serves as the main body of the screening machine.

Screen Frame: Made of stainless steel, this component is primarily designed to keep the screen mesh taut and flat, ensuring effective screening performance.

Screen Mesh: Composed of SS304 or 316L stainless steel woven mesh, perforated plates, or rod-type screen decks.

Vibrating Motor: Please refer to the vibrating motor’s instruction manual for details on operation and maintenance.

Motor Mount: Used to mount the vibrating motor. All mounting screws must be securely tightened before use; in particular, during the first three days of operation for a new machine, the fasteners must be checked and retightened repeatedly to prevent accidents caused by loosening.

304 Stainless Steel

304 stainless steel features 18% chromium and 8% nickel without molybdenum. It resists corrosion from sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, formic acid, urea and common acidic & alkaline substances. Cost-effective, it works well in clean water and dry environments for ordinary equipment, yet it is vulnerable to pitting corrosion when exposed to chloride, brine and disinfectants.

316 Stainless Steel

Based on 304 composition, 316 stainless steel contains extra molybdenum and higher nickel content. The added molybdenum greatly boosts resistance to intergranular corrosion, oxide stress corrosion and chloride corrosion, and lowers hot cracking risk during welding. It performs stably in chemical, medical and food processing scenarios with corrosive media. Its price is about 2 times that of 304.
