What is an inline vibratory screen?

An inline vibratory screen, also known as a direct discharge vibrating screen, works by having material enter the equipment and then vibrating it in an elliptical motion on the screen surface. This rapid, reciprocating motion, while simultaneously stripping, breaking down, and recombining the material, allows it to pass through the screen quickly. Material that cannot pass through is discharged from the screen’s discharge port along the equipment’s trajectory, completing the screening process.

Working Principle

The vibration source is available in single-motor and dual-motor configurations. A vibrating motor utilizes two sets of eccentric weights (unbalanced weights) located at the upper and lower ends of its shaft to convert the motor’s rotational motion into a superposition of horizontal, vertical, and inclined forces, as well as centrifugal forces. These forces are then transmitted to the screen surface to achieve the screening process. By adjusting the phase angle and weight of the upper and lower eccentric weights, the magnitude of the excitation force and the movement trajectory of the material can be altered.

Parts of the inline vibratory screen

  • Flexible Vibration Configurations for Versatile Applications
Available in single-motor and dual-motor setups, with multiple trajectory adjustment options to control material flow paths. Supports direct discharge design for higher throughput and seamless integration into production lines. Standard machine widths range from 600 mm to 1800 mm, meeting diverse industrial requirements.
  • High-Efficiency, Energy-Saving Vibration System
Engineered with a dual-motor + adjustable eccentric block structure, enabling continuous frequency control (30–60 Hz) and precise amplitude adjustment (2–5 mm). Optimized motor mounting angles (via dynamic simulation) improve vibration force utilization by up to 40% and increase processing efficiency by 25% at equal energy consumption, reducing operational costs.
  • Optimized Screening Structure for Accuracy & Throughput
Features a vertical feeding → horizontal screening → vertical discharge design to balance precision and capacity. Equipped with large-diameter screens (600–2000 mm optional), increasing the effective screening area by 30%, delivering high-capacity and high-precision screening performance.
  • Durable, All-Condition Wear-Resistant Construction
Built with Q304 high-strength steel screen frame, enhanced by shot blasting and electrostatic powder coating for corrosion resistance. Uses 304/316L stainless steel mesh (0.15–2 mm wire diameter) with rubber edge sealing for impact absorption. Fitted with IP55-rated imported sealed bearings, ensuring reliable operation in dusty, humid, and harsh industrial environments.

Features of an inline vibratory screen

Inline vibratory screens are widely used in modern production lines due to their compact structure
and continuous screening capability. It can be integrated with a vacuum pneumatic conveying system and a dust free bag dump station. They offer higher efficiency, better integration, and lower operating costs.

1. Compact design:

Small footprint and easy to move, making it an ideal choice for factories with limited space (especially automated production lines).

2. Low energy consumption:

High operational efficiency and energy-efficient motors help reduce long-term operating costs.

3. Easy to Assemble and Disassemble:

Both internal and external surfaces are easy to clean, with no hygiene dead zones; complies with food-grade GMP standards.

4. Automated Operation:

Enables 24-hour continuous production.

5. Flexible configuration:

Can be used as a single unit or in multi-tier configurations to achieve multi-stage screening in a single pass.

6. Tight sealing:

Prevents liquid leakage and dust dispersion.

7. Ultra-low noise design.

Noise-reduction configuration—virtually no noise.

8. Easy integration into existing production lines:

The inline vibrating screen can be easily connected to conveyors, mixers, or filling machines. This makes it the perfect choice for upgrading existing production systems.

Ultrasonic Inline vibratory screen

The ultrasonic straight-line vibrating screen is a highly efficient screening device that combines ultrasonic technology with the principles of straight-line screening.Similar to a tumbler sieve machine equipped with an ultrasonic device. It is widely utilized across various industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food processing, and metallurgy. By harnessing the synergistic interplay between high-frequency vibration and ultrasonic waves, the device effectively mitigates factors that cause screen blockage—such as adhesion, friction, particle leveling, and wedging. Ultimately, it resolves complex screening challenges associated with materials exhibiting strong adsorption, easy agglomeration, high static electricity, extreme fineness, high density, or low specific gravity, thereby significantly enhancing the screening performance of ultrafine powders.
